Null and Void
Null and Void is a series of abstract photographs of advertisements painted on an old wall in the city of Jaipur (India), that Mayank—an ex advertising art director—came across during an afternoon walk. The advertisements, when viewed up-close, fascinated Mayank and he photographed them over a period of time in a manner that celebrateed their shapes, patterns, textures and colours, thereby nullifying the persuasive advertising messages! Stylistically and conceptually, this series draws upon the famous art movement abstract expressionism and consists of 18 unique images, available as limited edition prints (Edition: 12). Print sizes: 20×15 inches or 16×12 inches.
